TCEC chat guidelines

In general, normal decent chat behavior does not lead to any timeouts or bans at TCEC chat.

In the sections below you will find an outline of unacceptable behavior in both TCEC Twitch and TCEC Discord chat.

A. General good behavior

1. Be positive & helpful to other viewers.
2. Be respectful to moderators.
3. Do not self promote.
4. Do not disrespect other streamers or create drama between streamers.
5. Racism, sexism, or homophobia will result in a ban.
6. Cheating with bets will result in a ban.

B. Targeted Harassment, Threats, and Violence Against Others

1. Harassment, defamation, intimidation, or stalking of other persons or users, including TCEC and Twitch Admins and Staff, is strictly prohibited.
2. There will be zero-tolerance towards the following harassment violations:
   1. Attempting or threatening to harm or kill another person
   2. Attempting or threatening to DDoS or SWAT another person.
   3. Posting someone else’s personal information, such as a real name or location, without consent.

C. Hate Speech and Other Harassment

1. Actions or conversations that promote or encourage discrimination, harassment, violence based on race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, religion, mental health, deformities, disabilities, special needs or nationality is prohibited. This includes:
   1. Using hateful words to define an item, subject, or person.
   2. Using hateful words to describe or insult other members
   3. Using hateful words to describe or insult Chess Engines, and their authors or developers

D. Impersonation

1. Content or activity to impersonate an individual or organization is prohibited.
2. Any attempts to misrepresent yourself as TCEC or Twitch Admins and Staff is a zero-tolerance violation and may result in immediate indefinite suspension from all TCEC Communities.

E. Spams, scams, and other malicious content

1. Any content or activity that disrupts, interrupts, harms, or otherwise violates the integrity of TCEC or Twitch Admins and Staff, or another user’s experience or devices is prohibited. Such activity includes:
   1. Posting large amounts of repetitive, unwanted messages.
   2. Distributing unauthorized advertisements.
   3. Distributing illegal software.
   4. Phishing.
   5. Defrauding others.
   6. Spreading malwares or viruses.
   7. Misinformation (such as feigning distress).
   8. Tampering.
   9. Repeated attempts to bring TCEC in disrepute.

F. Pornography and Other Sexually Explicit Conduct

1. Any content or activity involving any type of Pornography, or other Sexually Explicit Content, may result in indefinite removal from all TCEC Communities.

G. Gore and Other Obscene Conduct

1. Any content that includes any gore and/or violence may result in indefinite removal from all TCEC Communities.

H. Abusive usernames

1. Any username that violates one or more of the issues listed above will be banned indefinitely from all TCEC Communities.
2. Any usernames that are considered offensive or inadmissable by discretion of the TCEC Admins and Staff will be banned indefinitely from all TCEC Communities.

All of the aforementioned and the definition of any term used is by discretion of the TCEC Admins and Staff
